Links to other pages and stuff that I feel like promoting.
Fun Stuff
- Calvin & Hobbes comics - Read some Calvin & Hobbes online at the gocomics.com website.
- Ratboy Genius - Surreal and potentially confusing at first, the beautifully-composed music and surprisingly deep lore may well draw you in once you give it a chance. "Ratboy Genius Dreams Minecraft" is a pretty good starting point to jump into this world.
- The Aquabats - A great band I've loved since high school.
- The Weird Wide Webring - Links to sites that are individual works rather than yet another standardized template. There's still individual expression and personality out there on the Internet, you just need to look a little harder to find it these days.
- Yamauchi No. 10 Family Office - Website of former President of Nintendo, Hiroshi Yamauchi. Just scrolling around it is an experience of wonder. (WARNING: There's auto-playing music.)
- Simone's Computer - A fun throwback to an older era of computing (but not -too- old) with fun little things you can do by clicking. A screensaver even turns on if you leave the tab idle for too long! (See if you can unlock the secret pizza recipe.)
- The Dead Pixel Society - Some awesome pixel art.
- Radio Paradise - An awesome online radio. My favorite is the Mellow Mix channel.
Useful Stuff
- Neocities - Set up your own personal website, absolutely free and without ads.
- Privacytools.io - Find some useful tools and app alternatives to help you reclaim some of your privacy. (Careful jumping into the rabbit hole, and remember everyone gets to decide how far they want to go.)
- uBlock Origin - An adblocker for your browser. It blows me away how often I find people who still browse the web without an adblocker.
- Linux Mint - Ever been tempted to get away from Windows and/or MacOS but not been sure where to start? Linux Mint is the perfect Linux distro to test the waters with, being both stable and user-friendly with a huge and supportive community.
Meaningful Stuff
- Project Coyote - Promoting the compassionate coexistence between people and wildlife through education and advocacy.
